Hey Google! Call my boss to read the newest blog!
By now, I’m sure you’ve heard about Google Assistant.
Long story short- it represents an idea to have a personal assistant whenever and for whatever you need to do or make.
Let we see… The bigger picture will be something like this: You want to make an appointment with your doctor, hairdresser or a meeting with a colleague and you have something/someone (not sure how to name it) to do it instead of you so you can do some other things. Great idea, isn’t it?
Imagine: you were in such a rush these days and really wanted to stream Netflix on your TV but you couldn’t manage all of that. Everything you have to do is to say to your assistant!
There are a bunch of assistants, but several of them are the smartest one: Siri, Cortana, Alexa and Google Assistant. Claims are that even after 2 years of existing, Google takes the lead of the best and the smartest assistant. Alexa, born in Amazon, is the second one, they say, but not so long Google- watch out, Alexa is close!
Ok, after we mark off which assistant are better, let me ask a question: is this only a new gadget, an unstoppable progress, or we are at the very beginning of the future known as an artificial era?
At the same time, it’s cool and creepy, you must admit it.
So, step by step, now we have a demo version for a Google Duplex! It’s only a demo, but it works solid. It uses your voice, a way of speak, pauses in conversations.
Until now, I believe, if it wasn’t scary for you even just a little bit, maybe we should all stop and think through it- this is huge progress but maybe a huge social problem in future?! Maybe we ought to do some serious research about these issues.
On the other hand, our Mediavuk team is very interested in developing projects that will secure our future- if you haven’t done yet, read about FLS. It’s not the same thing, but some of the intentions are similar- security and preventions.
In order to achieve more while doing less- thumbs up for the all incoming gadgets with a mission to provide quality of life!
